CORE CURRICULUM FOR INITIAL GAMBLING CERTIFICATION
WITH CADC TRAINING

(Must include a copy of your current CADC certificate) 

For those applicants who are presenting CADC training, the Initial Certification process will require verification of the completion of a minimum of 30 classroom hours of compulsive gambling specific education approved by the American Compulsive Gambling Counselor Certification Board.  Listed below each Core Area are broad descriptions of some of the subjects, which may be addressed under these headings and the number of hours necessary.  These are the Core Areas and Hours required to meet minimum standards.

(Informing clients of their legal rights regarding: acceptance of and participation in a treatment or recovery program, law regarding confidentiality and the legal aspects of  compulsive gambling.)
